Canadian researchers have discovered that there is a learning link between children who play a musical instrument and their performance in the classroom. Read about it here.

Musically trained children tend to do better in memory tests and have a higher IQ scores on average than those who do not.

How does it work? A professor, who specialises in the psychology of music, claims that music of any kind stimulates the brain as a whole. So, taking part in musical activities can influence other areas of our development.
